Emma Brooke Alley
Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, Emma Brooke Alley is a multi-talented singer, songwriter, musician and performer. Emma has been studying classical voice at Converse University under Dr. Valerie MacPhail since the age of six. Emma has also studied piano since the age of eight at the Lawson Academy of the Arts. Emma was accepted to and attended the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities for Voice during her high school years. She is now studying at Converse University to receive her Bachelor’s of Music in Contemporary Music and Media, and also receiving a Certificate in Music Business. Emma not only performs classical works, but she is a singer-songwriter and producer. She is a part of the worship band at 4 Points Church, is working with Studio 101 in Woodruff on her first EP, and is working to create her own band. Her plan is to continue to pursue her dreams of being a professional singer and performer.
Emma Brooke has performed at many venues, both local and across the nation. She has performed for crowds of thousands at schools, churches, town festivals, sporting events, operas, theater productions, pageants, the Piccolo Spoleto Festival, Spartanburg Philharmonic Orchestra events, RJ Rockers, The Spinning Jenny, and many other local venues. Some highlights of her budding music career include opening for country music artist Hunter Hayes, being singled out to sing for Lauren Daigle at her World Tour in Greenville, SC, and most recently singing at the SC Governor McMaster’s Inaugural Ceremony. A few of Emma’s most notable awards are receiving the “ Ruth Paddison Music Scholarship”, which is the highest music scholarship awarded at Converse University, the SCNATS “Spotlight on Woman Composers Award” High School Categories 2021, Miss Byrnes High School 2019, 1st Place at SC NATS Classical Audition 2018, and was awarded the top Vocal scholarship to study voice at Lawson Academy of the Arts at Converse in both 2016 and 2018.
Most recently, Emma was flown out to Los Angeles, California to audition for NBC’s hit singing television show “The Voice”. Emma made it through the Blind Auditions, turning chairs of both Gwen Stefani and John Legend. Emma Brooke chose Team Legend and worked closely with coach John Legend. Emma also worked with world renowned vocal coaches Trelawny Rose and Deborah Byrd. Emma Brooke made it through to the Knockout Rounds, and was featured on live television three times during Season 22.
Emma Brooke has experience with music composition, production, and songwriter from sessions at a local studio in Greer. With this studio, she wrote and was given aid in producing her first two singles, “Feelin’ Good" and "Manipulator.” She also has experience working with collaborative artists and was a member of former Indie/Alternative band “The Blue Executive.” Currently, Emma is working closely with Brad Phillips at Studio 101 and with her partner Reid Calchary, who studied Composition at Belmont University. The two are working to create and record their first EP under the band name “Private Violet.” They plan to launch their band officially soon and release their first EP in the Spring.
